Daisy Collingridge is a British, Central St Martin’s graduate and a graduate of the Sarabande Foundation, London, 2023. Her work is a multi-disciplinary practice focused on the exploration of the human form through the interplay between sculpture and performance art. At the core of her work is a celebration of the human form. It is the fascination with how we are all composed internally that intrigues Collingridge.
The soft sculptures are made from hand-dyed jersey, which are quilted and stitched to create sinews and bodily shapes. They are genderless characters, emphasising how universal we all are on the inside. For Collingridge her characters are emotive and endearing, where she is inviting us to become lost in their world of her creation.
Collingridge has exhibited at the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art in 2022 at the V&A Lates, London in 2024.
